The Dot.com and home business shake out that has taken place over the last few years necessitates warning anyone up front what is missing from most any BzOp, that is how to market the product.  Nothing sells itself.  You either have to be a social butterfly or have a budget to purchase good targeted ads in a high traffic medium.  The few cheap ads I ever found that worked, only did so until my competitors found the same path and out spent me.  Those avenues are no longer cost effective because too many advertisers are bidding for the same spot.

This reports on product quality or states what my negative responses were as I tried each program.  I personally resent the old cliché that says success is only dependent on "hard work" and perseverance.  In reality it is EFFECTIVE hard work and perseverance.  The biggest challenge is to find out just what form of advertising really is effective.  Virtually NOBODY will tell you the truth on this.  As soon as somebody finds a method that works, either of 2 things happen. 1. they keep the secret to themselves and milk the market for all it's worth, or 2. they leak it to a friend who blabs it to everyone and immediately saturates the market.

So if you have the capital and intestinal fortitude to continue, here are some of my experiences.

American Longevity 

The nutritional supplement line exclusively endorsed by Dr. Joel Wallach of the "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" fame. These minerals are the most potent available and bring noticeable results more quickly than any other supplement on the market.  Commissions come from referred sales.  You do not stock anything, just make sure your ID number is on the order form used by any referrals.

The most common objection you will encounter with a face to face sale is the price.  The second will come from someone who tried some other brand of colloidal mineral.  You will not get these objections from anyone who has heard several of Dr. Wallach's tapes, read his books or listened to several of his radio shows and heard testimonials from people who have had similar ailments as your prospect. You need to stress that the potency of this product puts ALL OTHERS to shame.  You also need to stress the medial cost alternatives from ailments caused by deficiencies of these minerals.  Best wishes.  A majority of the healthy people you encounter won't talk any further with you until something breaks.  But I assure you, no other nutritional supplement will give the results obtainable by this product line.  Read the concentration levels on the labels.  Both these and any competitor's.  You won't believe it until you see it yourself.

Once you become a representative, you are given an ID code and a self replicating web site that keeps your id attached to all pages.  All products are ordered online through their web site. I no longer endorse DPC.  They have a good but overpriced colloidal silver product, that is actually more ionic or angstrom in size  than colloidal.  Promoters have over stressed the membership aspect rather than the product.  This made the entire operation resemble a typical mlm scam.  They were not.  But it doesn't take much to destroy a good idea.  Home made colloidal silver is somewhat suspect in safety. There have been home made units sold for years now, and some individuals are now showing side effects from abusive use of what was a faulty product to begin with.  Please read my column on colloidal silver manufacture.  But I can't recommend involvement in the other aspects of DPC's complicated program.

GEET certainly has the product for the hour, but legal battles and infighting have kept them from any level of success.   There basically are no home business opportunities here anymore due to extensive problems of sabatoge both from outside and within the firm itself.  I have hopes for the business to step away from the garage experimenter image that has dominated it thus far, but too many disasters were self inflicted wounds for me to endorse anymore.  Feel free to follow the company's progress at their corporate site.

This whole concept has pretty much gone down in flames.  It was based on the assumption of unlimited incoming ad revenue.  But advertisers expect results.  Flashing banners just became an annoyance everyone ignored.

The nickel per e-mail sounded good at first until you realized you were only being paid 5 cents to tie your mind up for 2 or 3 minutes reading their pitches to earn your nickel.  Your computer depreciates faster than you can read spam at 5 cents each. No thanks.  Simple rest is more valuable.
 

There is an endless list of companies offering you a "web based business" franchise for any price imaginable.  They promote these programs through seminars and info-mercials.  Hide your wallet!   On my "FREEBIES" page I list several ways to both access the internet and POST your business on the web free of charge.

The only expense comes when you need your own unique registered "Domain" name (like commutefaster.com).  It costs $35 / year to register your unique name with Network Solutions.  And hosting your specific domain name on a 24 hour server can be expensive depending on your business' specific needs.  Use any search engine to find the latest hosting bargain.
